How I Can Help

Individualized, strengths-based care for teens, adults, couples, and families — built around each client, never a template.

TEENS · ADULTS · COUPLES · FAMILIES

01 — TEEN & ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Therapy for Teens & Adolescents (Ages 13–19)

Who This Is For

Teens experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, school avoidance, emotional regulation difficulties, parent–teen conflict, or concerns related to screen and gaming use. I have particular experience with treatment-resistant youth and teens entering therapy for the first time.

What to Expect

An insight-oriented, solution-focused approach drawing on CBT and exposure work to build confidence and coping skills. I coordinate closely with parents and schools to help reduce conflict at home and keep support consistent across settings.

02 — ADOPTION, FOSTER CARE & ATTACHMENT

Adoption, Foster Care & Attachment Therapy

Who This Is For

Adopted and fostered children, teens, and the families raising them — including families preparing to adopt, navigating reactive attachment disorder, abandonment and trauma, identity exploration, or blended-family adjustment.

What to Expect

Support grounded in real depth of experience with attachment and trauma — working with families at every stage, from adoption readiness through the adolescent years, and with both the individual and the whole family system over time.

03 — ADULT THERAPY

Therapy for Adults

Who This Is For

Adults managing anxiety, depression, executive-functioning challenges, or the quiet weight of work and career stress — anyone feeling stretched thin and ready for steadier ground.

What to Expect

The same individualized, whole-person approach applied to adult life: practical coping strategies grounded in CBT and solution-focused methods, with attention to the cultural and life context behind the symptoms — not just the symptoms themselves.

04 — COUPLES & FAMILY THERAPY

Couples Therapy & Parent Coaching

Who This Is For

Couples and co-parents facing communication challenges, child-rearing disagreements, or the strain of parenting a child who is struggling — anyone feeling unheard or worried about the impact of conflict on their kids.

What to Expect

Solution-focused couples work addressing communication and shared challenges, alongside parent coaching, parent education, and parent-wellness support — rebuilding connection and partnership, not just resolving the immediate conflict.

05 — TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPY

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Who This Is For

Clients affected by abuse, neglect, foster-care experiences, chronic stress, or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) — anyone whose past continues to shape how safe or steady the present feels.

What to Expect

Safety, trust, and empowerment come first. We move at your pace — processing experiences when you’re ready, not before — while building practical coping skills and steadier emotional footing over time.

06 — BARIATRIC EVALUATION

Pre-Surgical Bariatric Evaluation

Who This Is For

Adults preparing for bariatric (weight-loss) surgery who need the pre-surgical psychological evaluation required by most surgical programs and insurance providers.

What to Expect

A comprehensive evaluation assessing readiness for surgery, paired with real preparation — not just a checkbox — for the emotional, behavioral, and lifestyle changes that come with long-term success.

Also offering Clinical Supervision

Board-approved clinical supervision for LCSW candidates building their practice in Maryland.

FAQ

Common Questions About Services

You don’t have to figure that out alone. Reach out and describe what’s going on — I’ll help point you toward the right fit, or we can talk it through in a brief consultation.
Yes. Many clients benefit from a combination — for example, individual therapy for a teen alongside parent coaching. Treatment plans are built around what actually helps, not a fixed package.
Most services are available both in-person in Silver Spring and virtually anywhere in Maryland. Exposure and in-home support are typically conducted in person or in the relevant setting.

I work with adolescents (13–19), adults, couples, and families. Adoption and attachment work spans from adoption readiness through the adolescent years.

It depends entirely on your goals and situation — there’s no fixed program length. We’ll revisit progress together along the way, since every treatment plan is individualized.
