I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker — Clinical (LCSW-C) and Maryland board-approved clinical supervisor with more than 30 years of experience in mental health, child welfare, and family systems. I’m also an Adjunct Faculty Professor at the Howard University School of Social Work, where I help train the next generation of clinicians, and a published contributor on NTU psychotherapy, an Afrocentric therapeutic approach, including its application to therapeutic foster care and complex family systems.
I specialize in teens and families — working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, school difficulties, emotional regulation, and concerns related to screen and social-media use, along with the parents and families around them. I have particular experience supporting treatment-resistant youth and teens entering therapy for the first time.
I also bring depth to adoption, foster care, and attachment work, supporting children and teens through reactive attachment disorder, trauma, identity exploration, and blended-family adjustment — working with families from adoption readiness through the adolescent years.
