MY APPROACH

Whole-Person Care, Rooted in Evidence

Like the tree at the center of our name, lasting growth starts with strong roots — mind, body, and spirit working together.

SOLUTION-FOCUSED · STRENGTHS-BASED · CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE

MIND

Understanding thought patterns and building the cognitive tools to navigate anxiety, depression, and everyday stress.

BODY

Attention to how stress and anxiety live in the body — including in-home and out-of-office exposure support when it helps most.

SPIRIT

Honoring culture, identity, and lived experience as central to healing — not separate from it.

Care at Inner Balance begins with a thorough understanding of the whole person, not only the presenting concern. I draw on solution-focused, insight-oriented, and strengths-based methods alongside evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy, tailored to each client. Depending on the situation, this may include in-home or out-of-office exposure support for anxiety, compulsions, and body-focused repetitive behaviors; work to improve communication between a parent and teen; or support for an adult managing work-related stress and executive-functioning challenges.

Throughout treatment, I give careful attention to the cultural and family dynamics that often underlie a presenting concern. I coordinate with parents, schools, and other providers to keep care consistent, and prioritize a stable, trusting therapeutic relationship as the foundation for progress. The aim is straightforward: to meet you where you are, build on your strengths, and support meaningful change over time.

Not sure which modality fits your situation? Let’s talk it through.

“Just as a tree’s roots determine the strength of its branches, our work together starts below the surface — building a stable foundation so growth above can flourish.”

What a Session Looks Like

Every treatment plan is developed individually — never from a standard template. Sessions begin with listening: understanding your goals, your history, and what “balance” would look like for you. From there, we build a plan together, drawing on the modalities that fit your needs. Where it’s helpful, I coordinate directly with parents, schools, and other providers so care stays consistent outside our sessions. Above all, progress rests on a stable, trusting relationship — built at your pace, never rushed.
